And we let him carry the torch?
That is...
But… cheekbones.
1. Any book ever written by Agatha Christie. This lady is a genius. (For those that do not know, Christie has written piles of amazing mystery novels). I got Three Little Pigs for Christmas, and it’s really good =D
2. The Bythes are Quoted by LM Montgomery It’s the same lady who wrote the Anne of Green Gables series- this is actually a continuation of it, written in a collection of short stories. If you haven’t read that series either, get to it. It’s something that I find myself going back to time and again.
3. The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton I can’t believe I forgot this book in my locker over the holidays -.- This book is something rare- not only do I adore the writing style, but the story is about the compelling mystery of one girl’s identity and family history. (Me+mysteries= <3)
4. Rumour Has It by Jill Mansell My copy was given to me by my friend Nico ( http://caterpillar-marathon.tumblr.com/ check her blog out ;) ). This book is so entertaining- includes British guys, small towns, terrible gossips, and dying ex-wives, just to name a few. It can’t be considered ‘literature’, but it’s good. Maybe it’s cause I’m no book snob =)
5. Harry Potter My childhood in seven books (not including their three amazing companions- Quidditch, Fascinating Creatures, and Tales of Beetle the Bard). Need I say more?
6. Little Women by Louisa May Alcott Follows the lives of four sisters as they grow up. It’s cute. Sadly, I can’t say anything else about it… it’s about time for me to re read it ;)
7. Planet Janet and Planet Janet in Orbit by Dyan Sheldon I will be sitting in the living room and reading this, and I’ll get wierd looks from passersby for laughing too loud. These two books are written in the form of a diary, following the life of Janet, age 16. Her point of view on the world is refreshing and hilarious. Glossary included in the back for those unfamiliar with British terms.
